Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley TrekTsum valley is the sacred Himalayan Hindu pilgrimage site which is situated in the northern part of the Gorkha district. It is the hidden valley surrounded by the snow clad mountains like Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, Shringi Himal and Himalchuli. The word Tsum came from the Tibetan word Tsombo that suggest Bright or vivid. It is named as Tsum as the relics of the ancient Kingdom are still bright and vivid in this region. Tsum valley trek is one of the best treks which offer the superb panorama of the mountains ancient Tibetan culture, as well as the untouched natural beauty. In this region you see the untouched wild life as the people of this region follow the Buddhist religion and Buddhism prohibit the hunting. In this trek you enjoy the close up view of the Himal Chuli, Buddha Himal, Ganesh Himal Annapurna, Sringi Himal anmd many more. The culture and lifestyle of the ethnic people like Gurung, Magar, and Tibetan People is another remarkable feature of this trek.

Tsum valley is rich in cultural assets. In the valley you can see many ancient Buddhist monasteries, Mani walls, Chortens steps of the great Buddhist Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa etc. Tsum valley trek is the newly explored trekking trail which begins from the Aarughat of the Gorkha District. Then you follow the Budi Gandaki River valley and traverse through subtropical forest in the low land to the Alpine zone in the higher altitude, ethnic village of Gurung, Magar, Tibetan Buddhist people, waterfalls, and rivers, natural hot springs with the views of the snow clad mountains. In this journey you can also visit the historical Gorkha durbar in Gorkha which is the wonderful ‘Darbar’ (palace) and home of the Nepal’s first king. This trek gives you the lifetime memory. The best season to go for Tsum valley trek are autumn and spring when the weather is clear and you can have the clear view of the mountains as well as the natural scenery.
