Tamang Heritage Trek starts from the quaint village of Syaprubesi after the cultural tour of Kathmandu valley to the heritages of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupas and the architectural excellence of Patan Durbar Square. Moving ahead from the village of Syaprubesi we traverse through the villages of Goljung, Gatlang, Thuman, Timure and Briddim, Lama Hotel, Langtang village and Kyanjin Gompa before we put an end to our trek in Syaprubesi and then travel to Kathmandu. Exploring through local Tamang monastery and serene lake at Gatlang, natural healer of hot spring at Tatopani, homestay facility at Briddim along with warm hospitality of Tamang community, we reach the Langtang village past the Lama Hotel. The narrow lush valley at Langtang displays exceptional cultural diversity and well preserved ensembles of their rich traditional heritage. We trail back through the initial route to call it a day at Syaprubesi. En route the short trek, we savor the Tamang rituals, Tibetan superstitions, colorful festivals, local dances and costumes, Tibetan influenced architecture, local made handicrafts and unique flora and fauna, alpine terrains, lush green dales and rhododendron forest with the silver mountains shining in the background.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
In your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport the representative of Destination Himalaya treks give you warm welcome in adventurous Himalayan country Nepal.
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, overnight at Hotel
In morning, after having breakfast you visit UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu and prepare for the trekking. While visiting, our representative guides you and helps you to get knowledge about those heritage sites. In the morning you visit the Boudhanath sputa- the oldest Buddhist sputa. Then you visit the oldest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. After that you head to another Buddhist sputa Swayambhunath which is located in the hillock. From there you can observe the 360 degree view of the Kathmandu valley. After launch you visit Kathmandu Durbar square. Finally prepare for next day’s trekking.
Day 03: Drive by local bus or jeep to Syabru Bensi, 1460m
We initiate Tamang Heritage Trek as we drive early morning from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi on bus through scenic villages and landscapes. Overnight stay at local tea house.
Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Gatlang, 2240m
Today we head towards Tamang village of Gatlang. After having our breakfast, we leave behind Syabrubesi and slowly awesome views of Himalayas including Ganesh Himal range and others starts to appear. Then we cross Goljang and arrive at Tamang village of Gatlang where we get plenty of cultural exploration opportunities of their traditions and cultures with visit to their home and interacting with them. They offer the warm hospitality for visitors that you would surely love to experience. Overnight stay at community lodge.
Day 05: Gatlang to Tatopani, 2600m
Our day starts with our breakfast and it will be little challenging today, as it will be longest day of this trek. Near chilime village, we slowly descend alongside Bhotekoshi river and stop for our lunch. We can view local hydropower projects and dams built over there. After getting energy from our lunch, we ascend towards Tatopani crossing suspension bridges. Upon arrival at natural hotspring of ‘tatopani’ or ‘hotwater’ you are allowed to immerse in it for relaxation and regain freshness around foothills of surrounding mountains. There is also a popular belief that anyone who gets dipped in this hotspring gets healed from aches and pains. Overnight stay at local lodge.
Day 06: Tatopani to Thuman, 2340m
Today, following our trails of Tamang Heritage Trek, we ascend towards nagthali danda from where beautiful sceneries is on offer. Then we slowly descend towards Thuman, where we will be accompanied by joyful local inhabitants who mostly belong to Tamang community. Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 07: Thuman to Timure, 1762m
On this day further we leave behind Thuman and descend towards Timure. Following the natural route of this Tamang Heritage Trails, it offers us lots of natural and cultural exploration opportunities.
Day 08: Daywalk to Rasuwagadhi (1815m) Tibet border, overnight at Timure
We will be walking for a day towards Rasuwagadhi which is near to Tibetan border. And we return towards Timure for overnight stay.
Day 09: Timure to Bridim, 2230m
Briddim is another Tibetan influenced Buddhist village situated at the foothills of Himalayas. There are plenty of monasteries and we can see the local homes built of stones and local materials that impress us with its simplicity and cultural, historical significance. We visit their home and get close into their local rituals, traditions and festivals too.
Day 10: Bridim to Syabru Bensi
After having our early meal, we descend towards Syabrubesi and enjoy freely rest of the day. Overnight stay at lodge in Syabrubesi.
Day 11: Take a drive by Jeep or local public transport to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel
Today is the final day of our trek as we conclude our Tamang Heritage Trek and return towards capital city of Kathmandu. Farewell dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to airport for your onward destination.
After having breakfast and packing, finally we drop you towards Tribhuwan International Airport for your onward destination of fly back home.
From Bridim you can continue trek to Sundarijal via crossing Lauribina Pass which takes 6 more days.
