Mera Peak Climbing is another popular highest climbing peak of Khumbu region located south of Mount Everest. The route to Mera summit is technically straightforward though the heavy snow and the mess of crevasses make the way longer to the summit. Climbers can reach to Mera summit after completing some technical ascent along with complicated snow walk. After short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Mera peak climbing journey starts from Lukla. From Lukla you will reach to Mera base camp after completing the adventurous and romantic journey of beautiful places and villages such as Tsetre, Thaksingdingma, Thagnak and Khare. From its base camp after completing challenging snowy ascending finally you will reach to Mera summit. Mera summit offers the superb views of beautiful mountains such as Everest (8848m), Shishapangma (8035m), Chooyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Amadablam (6812m), Nuptse (7855m), Gosainthan (8013m) Kongde Himal (6200m), Thamserku (6430m), and Khumbila (5761m).

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing arround Kathmandu valley.
Day 03: A short but impressive flight from Kathmandu to Lukla 2800 meter and then trek to Chutanga (3050m.).
Day 04: Trek from Chutunga to Chhatra Khola via crossing over Chhatra La pass, 4704m.
As the trail is steep and narrow, this day might be difficult walking. There is one pass ahead called Chhatra La which makes your day more exciting, it even requires some mountaineering gears to cross this if there is snow on the pass.
Day 05: Trek from Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3555m.).
This day is completely descending through the forest of Juniper, Rhododendron and many others local vegetation. You will have beautiful views of Mera peak, Nauleku peak and snow covered peaks.
Day 06: Trek from Kothe to Thagnak, (4690m.).
This day will be easy walking for you as the trail is gradual ascent. You will be walking through the bank of the river all day long. You will enjoy with the stunning view of Kusum Kangaru and many other mountains.
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Thaknak.
Day 08: Thaknako to Khare, (5100m.)
As you are walking on the high altitude, suggest you to slowly walk with regular stops. The trail heads eastward out of Tangnag along with the lateral moraine of the Dig Glacier. You will pause to climb up the moraine for a view of the immaculate Sabai Tso glacial lake
Day 09: Rest day in Khare. You might consider this day as climbing preparation.
Day 10: Khare to Mera peak base camp, (5400m.)
In the beginning trek is complicated as its ascending but it changes into gradual ascends after a couple of hours walking. It takes around 5 hours to get Base camp.
Day 11: Today is you Mera peak climbing day.
You are suggested to start this journey early in the morning. So that you can spend more time over the top and enjoy the beautiful views of Mountains and Valleys. You are in top from where you will see the most stunning and panoramic views Everest, Makalu, Nuptse and Lhotse wall directly ahead. After enjoying some time over the top you will straight down to Khare.
Day 12: Reattempt the summit if you couldn’t make the summit on first day.

Day 13: Trek from Khare to Kothe.
Day 14: Kothe to Chhatra Khola or Chhutanga.
Day 15: Trek to Lukla.
Day 16: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, overnight in hotel.
