Gorkha itself is the District Headquarter of Gorkha situated at 1000 meters, not only destination for cultural tour it is also admired for trekking which we have commenced as home stay. One of the ethnic groups from Gorkha is called Gurung who mostly work as British Gurkha Army. Gurkhas served as troops under contract to the East India Company in the War of 1817 and the First and Second Anglo-Sikh Wars in 1846 and 1848. During the Indian Rebellion of 1857, Gurkhas fought on the British side, and became part of the British Indian Army on its formation. You will frequently be trekking through their villages and stay overnight at home.
